Scam attempts in the name of the Financial Supervisory Authority

Fraudulent messages are being sent in the name of the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA), at least through the WhatsApp application and possibly also via other communication channels. Please be vigilant when viewing messages.

In the scam attempts, recipients have received a screenshot of fake English-language pages resembling the FIN-FSA’s website, or possibly a link to a counterfeit website. The scam messages refer to overdue withdrawals. Do not reply to these scam messages and do not click on any links contained within them. Do not open any attachments either.

If you receive a suspected scam message, please contact the FIN-FSA directly about this, but through a different channel – do not use any link or phone number contained in the message.
