Amendment of regulations and guidelines concerning EBA ITS data collections 20/2013, 26/2013, 6/2014, 3/2020 and 5/2021, and termination of validity of regulations and guidelines 5/2014

Amendments have been made to regulations and guidelines issued by the Financial Supervisory Authority. More detailed information on these amendments is listed below in this release, specifically to each regulations and guidelines.

Regulations and guidelines 20/2013 Reporting of financial information

Amendments required by the FIN-FSA's new reporting system for supervised entities’ financial position and risks concerning the submission of supervisory information have been made to these regulations and guidelines. A reference to the determination of an administrative fine has been removed from the regulations and guidelines since a failure to report is subject to a penalty payment partly due to EU regulation.

Regulations and guidelines 26/2013 Common European Reporting (COREP)

Amendments required by the FIN-FSA's new reporting system for supervised entities’ financial position and risks concerning the submission of supervisory information have been made to these regulations and guidelines. Asset encumbrance reporting has been added to the scope of application of these regulations and guidelines. A reference to the determination of an administrative fine has been removed from the regulations and guidelines since a failure to report is subject to a penalty payment partly due to EU regulation.

Regulations and guidelines 6/2014 Reporting of funding plans

Amendments required by the FIN-FSA's new reporting system for supervised entities’ financial position and risks concerning the submission of supervisory information have been made to these regulations and guidelines. A reference to the determination of an administrative fine has been removed from the regulations and guidelines since a failure to report is subject to a penalty payment partly due to EU regulation.

Regulations and guidelines 3/2020 Guidelines on reporting and disclosure of exposures subject to COVID-19 countermeasures

Amendments required by the FIN-FSA's new reporting system for supervised entities’ financial position and risks concerning the submission of supervisory information have been made to these regulations and guidelines. A provision on the preparation of a declaration on the accuracy of information reported has been added to the regulations and guidelines. Available in Finnish and Swedish only.

Regulations and guidelines 5/2021 Prudential reporting for investment firms (IF)

Amendments required by the FIN-FSA's new reporting system for supervised entities’ financial position and risks concerning the submission of supervisory information have been made to these regulations and guidelines. A reference to the determination of an administrative fine has been removed from the regulations and guidelines since a failure to report is subject to a penalty payment partly due to EU regulation.

Regulations and guidelines 5/2014 Asset encumbrance reporting

FIN-FSA regulations and guidelines 5/2014 Asset encumbrance reporting have been repealed. These regulations and guidelines were based on a repealed Commission Implementing Regulation, which has been replaced by a new Implementing Regulation. The new Implementing Regulation incorporates all Regulatory Technical Standards required by Regulation (EU) N:o 575/2013. The FIN-FSA regulations and guidelines 26/2013 Common European Reporting are based on the new Implementing Regulation.

Entry into force and end of validity of the regulations and guidelines

The amendments to the regulations and guidelines enter into force on 15 July 2022.

The application of regulations and guidelines 5/2014 ends on 15 July 2022.

Appendices
