The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority Finanstilsynet announces underwriting prohibition against insurance company
The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority Finanstilsynet has announced that it has issued the insurance company Gefion Insurance A/S with a prohibition to grant new insurance policies and to renew existing policies as of 24 March 2020. These actions are related to the reorganisation measures initiated against the company on 28 November 2019.
The announcement was made in accordance with the Solvency II Directive.
This public notice by the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority is based on section 15a of the Act on Foreign Insurance Companies (398/1995).
