The Romanian Financial Supervision Authority announces commencement of winding-up proceedings for an insurance company

On 4 May 2016, the Romanian Financial Supervision Authority announced that a Romanian Court has, on 28 April 2016, pronounced that its decision on commencement of winding-up proceedings for the insurance company ASTRA Societatea Asigurare - Reasigurare S.A. now is final and irrevocable. Therefore, the Insurance Guarantee Fund may start payments to the insurance creditors of Astra.
