Sami Pyykkönen to head Market and Liquidity Risks Division

Sami Pyykönen MSc. (Econ) has been appointed Head of the Financial Supervisory Authority’s Market and Liquidity Risks Division as of 1 September.

Sami Pyykkönen moves to his new position from the European Central Bank where he worked as Principal Supervisor in Directorate General 3. He has also worked earlier in the Financial Supervisory Authority’s Market and Liquidity Risks Division as a Risk Specialist.
 
The Market and Liquidity Risks Division sees to it that supervised entities in the financial sector have adequate market and liquidity risk management and that the risks of their business operations do not jeopardise their risk-bearing capacity.
