Nonperforming assets and impairment losses by sector and industrial category 

The FSA publishes statistical data quarterly on deposit banks' aggregate outstanding and nonperforming assets and impairment losses by sector and industrial category.

Due to changes in the standard industrial classification at the beginning of 2009, the data is not completely comparable with the data published before 2009.

Aggregate figures include Nordea Bank Finland Plc, OP-Pohjola Group Central Cooperative, Sampo Bank Plc, Aktia Bank Plc, Bank of Åland Plc, Eufex Bank Ltd, Evli Bank Plc, FIM Bank Ltd, Itella Bank Ltd, S-Bank Ltd, Tapiola Bank Ltd, local cooperative banks, savings banks and foreign credit institutions’ Finnish branches engaged in deposit bank activities and subject to reporting requirements.

After errors in the report of September 2010–December 2011 on statistics on nonperforming assets and impairment losses by sector and industrial category, the data on impairment losses, gross and net has been incorrect during September 2010–March 2011. During June 2011–December 2011 the data in all columns has been incorrect. The statistics have been corrected on 11 May 2012.
