Figure: Deposit banks' nonperforming assets and impairment losses

Deposit banks' nonperforming assets and impairment losses 2012 and 2013, EUR million
Time period Nonperforming assets Bank guarantees Zero-interest assets Sum total of nonperforming assets* Impairment losses, net
2/2012 1 259 24 63 1 346 3
1/2012 1 266 24 64 1 354 2

*Sum total of nonperforming assets = nonperforming assets + bank guarantees + zero-interest assets. From the start of 2005 impairment losses on assets collectively assessed have no longer been deducted from nonperforming assets since such losses no longer necessarily concern nonperforming assets

After an error in the report of 5/2011–2/2012 on statistics on Nonperforming assets, the data on nonperforming assets has been incorrect. The statistics have been corrected on 11 May 2012.
