Ongoing disclosure obligation

The ongoing obligation for companies to publish factors materially affecting the value of their shares is based on chapter 2, section 7, of the Securities Markets Act. Our website provides a comprehensive overview of the disclosure obligation. Factors concerning the materiality and disclosure of information are explained in FIN-FSA standard 5.2b, which includes FIN-FSA's regulations and guidelines related to the shareholder's notification obligation. In addition, standard 5.2b deals broadly with guidance on the presentation of future prospects and profit warnings. The shareholder's notification obligation is also discussed under its own heading on our website.

International EU-level regulation on the ongoing disclosure obligation is based on the Market Abuse Directive, whereas regulation on the dissemination and storage of information is based on the Transparency Directive. The requirements of the directives are included in national legislation, and part of lower-level EU regulation is also contained in FIN-FSA standards.
